Dorathy Vargas

I was born in Boston at the Lying-In hospital, which happens to be down the street from Boston Children’s Hospital, and attended University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I have been in animal related research since 1991. I first worked in the lab of Dr. Megan Sykes at MGH, working on Graft vs Host disease. Since then, I gave been at MGH, Dana Farber, Immogen, Center for Blood Disease, Smart Cells/Smart Insulin, Harvard School of Public Health and now Children’s Hospital. My hobbies include baking, cooking, companion animal care (pet sitting) and helping raise a 4-year-old grandson. I also enjoy horse back riding and off road driving in souped-up Subaru.
