In 2019, after growing up and living in the Boston area for about two decades, I left to pursue a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. I completed my graduate degree under the mentorship of Drs. Erik Procko and Diwakar Shukla. My research mainly focused on understanding sequence to structure to function relationships in transmembrane proteins, using high-throughput mutagenesis libraries coupled with flow cytometry and deep sequencing. While I thoroughly enjoyed traditional bench work, I realized my true passion in science revolves around communication, education, and management of projects and collaborations. In 2023, I joined the Stevens lab as a project manager on the Boston Children's side. I am very excited to work alongside the amazing group members and help drive projects and collaborations towards success.
