Mairead Baker
I graduated from Harvard College in 2024 with a A.B degree in Neuroscience and a secondary in Spanish. At Harvard, I spent four years in the Bordt Lab at MGH studying sex differences in neurodevelopment with a focus in neuro-immune interactions. My senior thesis was to investigate the effects of maternal immune activation on the neuro-immune profiles of placental and fetal brain macrophages in a mouse model for neurodevelopmental disorders. I am very interested in the neurodevelopmental effects of immune system activation during pregnancy. I am also very excited to work on the brain borders team in the Stevens Lab! Also in my free time, I love to drink iced lattes, read, and bake!
