Eric is a recent graduate from Pomona College, where he earned a B.A. in neuroscience. He joined the Stevens lab remotely in June 2020 as part of the Broad’s Summer Research Program (BSRP) for underrepresented students in science. Eric remotely completed his senior thesis project, entitled “Transcriptomic Landscapes of Microglia-Like Cells: A Model for Human Neuroimmune Function”, which characterized the gene expression profiles of iPSC-derived microglia following exposure to chemokines and amyloid beta. He was awarded the 2021 Senior Prize in Neuroscience for academic excellence, quality of senior thesis, and overall contributions to the neuroscience department at Pomona College. Eric is very excited to continue this project in the Stevens lab full time this August as a visiting scholar through Harvard’s Program in Neuroscience Postbacc Program (PiNBAC)! Congratulations Eric on your outstanding work and achievements!
